Oyster and Wine bar,
Sheraton Hotel, Kowloon
What this bar lacks in comfy armchairs and sofas it compensates for with an excellent list of excellently served wines and an outstanding view of Hong Kong harbour, where boat-bores like me can brush up on their lights.
It can get busy and it’s far from nob-head proof, but while being pretty central it’s enough of an effort to get there to keep the worst of them at bay and you stand a good chance of catching it when it’s reasonably quiet.
The food is great (if you like oysters) though the service can be a little sluggish, but if you catch it at a good time the Oyster and Wine bar in the Kowloon Sheraton rewards you with great wine and a peerless view.
